It’s true that skiiers that live and die on the mountain are nutty, snow brats, whom are resolved to enjoy the rest of their lives on powder than in a corporate office. God Love’em. We digress. We will explain “how to get steezed out” and “get your powder on” with steps to better your personal collection of ski moves.
Let’s get started with our mental and physical attitude.
1. First rule, move somewhere cold, always packed with snow and has a few chosen ski bum residents so as you can blend in.
2. Get the ski bum attitude. Settle in with warm thoughts of cozy lodges with fireplaces, bearskin rugs, and lots of snow bunnies to keep the tingle on your shingle.
3. Get the best ski gear and coolest gear to get totally STEEZED out. Express your personal style with gads of decals, logos with bright and showy bling to get the attitude on. In addition, tell everyone getting on the lift about your gnarliest run of the day and exagerrate like a rapper billionaire with skiing trophies
Now for the skill section of our article. Let’s get back to it.
4. Ace the fundamentals, including turns, stops, jumps. You’ll never be able to ski better if you can’t do any of these. Start by pushing yourself little by little, for example, if you have the tendency to make wide, long turns, push yourself to make shorter quicker turns, this will allow you to be able to ski in smaller areas.
5. Adapt. A lot of “good” skiers are only able to perform in certain conditions, in order to be the best skier you can be you must be able to adapt to anything the mountain throws at you.(e.g. moguls, ice, powder banks).
6. Always push yourself. You don’t have to feel insecure, but try to push your limits. You learn faster by doing this, you get a wonderful kick and in 9 out of 10 times, you will realize it was not as bad as expected.
So there it is. Your attitude and skills should be glowing with wicked power! Get on the slopes, smile bright and leave your sad memories behind for scenes of snow powdered dreams.
