Football originated from many ball games from different parts of the world. Ancient Greeks and Romans were known to have played different games which are similar to the football today. In the ancient China, a game called Cuju or “kick ball” was played. It involved kicking a ball into a small hole. The Japanese people back in the ancient times played a similar game called Kemari.
